It’s pointless!
‘So pointless being a woman.’ Kashif kept on deriding Amina. ‘Look at you, rushing out of the office to cook for your husband. You even have no idea whether you would meet him at home. You wash clothes, feed the kids and sweat it out in the kitchen. What more do you do?’
‘I would be leaving from here to enjoy life with my women. What a contrast. You can only have one man but I can have as many as I want.’
Amina shook her head in disdain. ‘Kashif, I hope you don’t infect your innocent wife with your seeds you’re spreading around. What have you gained from your adventures so far other than having many fatherless kids? I have seen several kids on the streets of Lahore who look like you. Very soon, your kids would soon own an entire city.’
‘Would you like to join my league of women?’ Kashif said with a burst of wild laughter.
‘I am fine with my husband. Thanks for your kind gesture.’
It’s 6.00 AM, the following day.
Two kids come crying to the bedroom where Halima is snoring. They need their breakfast. While she is struggling to get up, she hears a baritone voice roaring in the background.
‘You lazy bone, get up before I help you with it.’
She sluggishly propped up herself and saw a mildly protuberant belly. This looked a four-month-old pregnancy. Before she could say anything, morning sickness set in and she hurried to the toilet to vomit.
‘Why are you behaving like it’s your first time getting pregnant. Now your kids are late for school because of your ineptitude. I can’t even have a decent breakfast, no thanks to my wonderful pregnant wife.’
With utter surprise she looked in the mirror, she saw the face of a man but the body of a woman.
‘I am not your wife! I am Kashif, the ladies’ man!’
He kept screaming till he woke up. ‘Alhamdulillah, it was a dream. It was a dream.’ Kashif said while panting heavily.
